1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us, such as when you create an account, use our services, or contact us for support.

Personal Information:

Email address and name when you create an account
Payment information for subscription services
Communication preferences and support inquiries

Document Information:

PDF files you upload for processing
Generated table of contents data
Usage statistics and processing history

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Provide and improve our PDF processing services
Process payments and manage subscriptions
Send service-related communications
Analyze usage patterns to enhance user experience
Provide customer support and respond to inquiries

3. Document Security and Retention

Your Documents Are Secure

All uploaded documents are encrypted during transmission and processing
Documents are automatically deleted within 24 hours of processing
We never store, share, or access your document content
Processing occurs on secure, enterprise-grade infrastructure

For most tools on this site — the table of contents generator, bookmark editor, outline extractor, bookmarks-to-TOC converter, and split-by-bookmarks tool — your PDF is read and processed entirely in your own browser and is never uploaded to us at all. The batch bookmarking tool is the one exception: because it processes many files together across multiple steps, files are uploaded to a private, account-scoped storage location for the duration of that job. Uploaded files are deleted within 1 hour and processed results within 24 hours.

4. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties except:

Service providers who assist in operating our platform (under strict confidentiality agreements)
When required by law or to protect our rights
In connection with a business transfer or acquisition

5. Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to enhance your experience, remember preferences, and analyze site usage. You can control cookie settings through your browser preferences.

6. Your Rights and Choices

You have the right to:

Access, update, or delete your personal information
Opt out of promotional communications
Request a copy of your data
Object to certain data processing activities

7. Data Protection

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

8. International Data Transfers

Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.

9. Changes to Privacy Policy
